Support that reaches families
At Fundación Sembrando Huellas M.A.C.A. we have supported the PKU community through food deliveries, support for phenylalanine tests and gatherings with families. Here we share some of these actions, made possible by those who join our work.
Visits and follow-up for patients and caregivers
During this outreach we seek to identify difficulties related to nutrition, access to formulas or special products, medical check-ups, understanding of treatment and family adaptation. We also guide parents and caregivers so they have clear information and practical tools that allow them to make better decisions in caring for the patient.
Gatherings and companionship
Sharing time with families is also part of our work. These gatherings allow us to connect, listen to their experiences and strengthen the bonds of our community.
Support for phenylalanine tests
We have provided support so that people in the PKU community can get phenylalanine (Phe) tests done, contributing to the follow-up they carry out with their health team.
